The Tadpole madtom is a member of the Catfish
family (Ictaluridae). This species occurs in warm streams and rivers in the lowlands of eastern and central North America. As with other madtoms, the spines are mildly venomous. The map below shows presence (green circles) of this species in the 1995-2019 MBSS dataset. |
